Former Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik joined the Legends League Cricket and will take charge as the skipper of the Southern Superstars.
Karthik has been incredible in the last few years with the aggressive wicketkeeper-batsman finding a new vein in form with IPL side Royal Challengers Bengaluru as he played a crucial role in the side’s run to the playoff in the most recent edition of the money-rich T20 event.
The addition of Karthik to the LLC roster increases the star power of the tournament for veterans.
Karthik also seemed to manage being on the field and sat in the commentary box well as he juggled the two skillfully in the past few years.
Karthik featured in 94 ODIs scoring in surplus of 1700 runs, while also pulling on the blue shirt 56 times in T20s. He amassed 672 runs with his willow. He played 26 Tests and made it past the 1000 run mark in whites.
