'You Reinvented the Wheel Once Again': Aakash Chopra Believes Virat Kohli is Back in 'Fab 4' After Return to Form
Former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra believes that Virat Kohli is back in the 'Fab 4' and lauded praise for reinventing his career to become India's top batter once again.

Former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra believes that superstar Virat Kohli is back in the infamous ‘Fab 4’ and believes that the batter has found the magic once again to be India’s go-to man with the bat.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra said, “Yours truly also said that he is no longer part of the Fab 4. He is now, by the way. It was about the runs at that time, in that period of two years, but he is back again. Steve Smith has fallen away. Kane Williamson is also going 50-50 but this guy is still there. He was there then also and has returned now.”

Fab 4 is a term made by the cricketing fraternity which comprises the best four batters of the current generation. At the moment, the list includes the likes of England’s Joe Root, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, Australia’s Steve Smith and India’s Virat Kohli. These batters have been consistent performers for their respective nations especially in the red-ball format.

Chopra also lauded the way Kohli managed to come back to form even stronger to become the force that was feared by all opposition teams. He added, “The way he has made a comeback has made his story even more beautiful. It seemed like things were done and dusted and you came and played a World Cup, and became the Player of the Tournament. You reinvented the wheel once again and reignited that passion.”

All eyes will be on Virat Kohli once again as he will be expected to score the big runs against England in the five-match Test series at home. His last big knock at home came against Australia in Ahmedabad where he scored 186 off 364 deliveries in the fourth Test.
