Rome: The high-profile Serie A clash between Roma and Napoli has been moved up by one day to October 18 to avoid conflicting with a scheduled protest in the capital against the construction of a high-speed rail line in northern Italy.
The match was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, October 19. It will now be played on Friday, October 18.
Roma have won their opening seven matches and hold a two-point lead over Napoli. Police and league officials were worried that the protest could lead to safety problems.
