Recording a Memo in Google Keep

Open Google Keep on your Android. It’s the yellow icon with a white light bulb inside. You’ll usually find it in the app drawer. It’s not possible to edit the content of an existing voice memo in Keep, but you can delete it or add an additional voice memo to the same note.

Tap the note that contains the voice memo. Notes with audio recordings have a Play icon (a sideways triangle) at their bottom-left edges.

Add a new voice memo. Here’s how: Tap + at the bottom-left corner of the note. Tap Recording. Say what you want to say. When you stop speaking, Keep will stop recording.

Delete an existing voice memo. Here’s how: Tap X on the memo. Tap DELETE on the confirmation pop-up.
Using Sony Audio Recorder

Open Audio Recorder on your Android. It’s the red icon with a white microphone inside a circle. Use this method if you installed Sony Audio Recorder from the Play Store (or if you’re using a Sony-made Android that came with this app).

Tap the RECORDINGS tab. It’s hear the top-right corner of the screen. All of your audio recordings made with this app appear here.

Rename a voice memo. To change the name of the recording: Tap ⁝ on the voice memo. Tap Rename. Type a new name for the file. Tap OK.

Crop a voice memo. To trim the ends off of the recording: Tap ⁝ on the voice memo. Tap Crop. Drag the left green marker to the place you want the audio to begin. Drag the right green marker to the place you want the audio to end. Tap the Play button to listen to the recording. Tap OK to save your changes.

Add sound effects to the recording. You can choose one of two sound filters to personalize your recording. Here’s how: Tap ⁝ on the voice memo. Tap Filters. Select Wind filter or Normalize filter. This saves a new copy of the recording with the filter applied.

Delete a voice memo. If you want to remove a memo from the list: Tap ⁝ on the voice memo. Tap Delete. Tap OK.
