KURNOOL: One person died and seven others suffered injuries during a clash between two groups over a property dispute at Lingapur in Gattu mandal, Mahaboobnagar district, on Saturday.However, the villagers said that it was an act of political vendetta. The villagers said that apart from property dispute, the groups also had some political rivalry.Ramakrishna Goud and Mekala Hanumanthu had been having rivalry for the last few years. They had been fighting for supremacy in the village. Of late, they were also having a conflict over some government land in the village.On Saturday morning, Ramakrishna Goud, along with his supporters, tried to remove some bushes in the land when Mekala Hanumanthu, along with his followers, reached the place and objected them.This led to a clash between the groups.
