BANGALORE: Under the Education Co-operation Agreement between India and New Zealand, 15 vice-chancellors will be on a sojourn to New Zealand on August 1.15 V-Cs from New Zealand will visit India countries for a week.Joint Secretary of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Dr Dev Swarup said, “The purpose of this programme is to provide an opportunity to the heads of universities to understand the university system, particularly academic programmes in India and New Zealand, so that it develops linkages for learning from each other in teaching and academic programmes.” The programme aims at promoting co-operation and partnership for joint degree programme, joint research, exchange of teachers for one semester/one year and interaction and exchange of students.“The institution-level exchanges are meant for the heads of institutions to use it for various collaborations and partnerships,” Swarup stated.
