New Delhi: A Delhi court on Monday will take cognisance of a chargesheet filed by the CBI against Airtel, Vodafone and others for alleged irregularities in allocation of additional 2G spectrum to them during the NDA regime.

In the chargesheet, the CBI has booked all the accused for criminal conspiracy and under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The CBI is also probing the 2G spectrum allocation during the NDA regime when late Pramod Mahajan was telecom minister.

In its FIR, the CBI had alleged there was a loss of Rs 508 crore to the state exchequer during 2001-07.

Apart from these telecom firms, the agency has named former telecom secretary Shyamal Ghosh, then deputy director general JR Gupta in its FIR for alleged irregularities in the grant of additional second generation spectrum during this period.
