BALANGIR: The Titilagarh Police on Tuesday submitted in the SDJM Court charge-sheets against 52 persons involved in the murder of Powmex Steels DGM Radheshyam Rai, who was burnt to death by the factory employees on March 3. While the police arrested 14 of them who were remanded in judicial custody, the remaining 38 have been absconding since the incident.Earlier, police had arrested nine persons including the driver of the DGM’s vehicle Kamal Lochan Bhoi. However, the main accused Venkatesh Mishra who allegedly torched the DGM’s vehicle with a cigarette, is still at large. “We have submitted the charge-sheets of 52 persons, whose involvement was known during the investigation,” said Titilagarh IIC Saranga Panigrahi. Following the incident, the management had given a lock-out notice. Recently, the Powmex Steels was opened after the Labour Minister Pushpendra Singhdeo, Planning and Coordination Minister A U Singhdeo and MP Kailash Singhdeo held talks with the management and labour leaders.GANGMAN RUN OVER: The Visakhapatnam-bound Samata Express hit a railway worker killing him on the spot near Khariar Road in Nuapada district here on Tuesday morning. Another worker, who was with him, sustained injuries.The deceased worker has been identified as Krushna Bhoi and the injured is Anil Kota. Both of them belong to Kantabanji. The two gangmen were repairing the tracks when the mishap occurred.
