AAP releases sixth list of LS candidates, Shazia Ilmi gets Ghaziabad ticket
Ilmi had earlier refused to fight elections against Congress President Sonia Gandhi from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party released its sixth list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Shazia Ilmi who had narrowly lost the Delhi Assembly elections from RK Puram will be contesting from Ghaziabad.

Ilmi had earlier refused to fight elections against Congress President Sonia Gandhi from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. She had said, "I had conveyed to the party that I cannot fight from outside Delhi because of family reasons. I have never been to Rae Bareli and I don't know anyone there. I would have been just happier to contest from Delhi."

Congress leader Raj Babbar will be contesting elections from Ghazaibad.

The AAP has declared the names of 55 candidates on Saturday. Soni Sori will contest from Bastar constituency from Chhattisgarh. She was allegedly tortured by the police in custody and also in jail. She was released on bail by the Supreme Court.
