Airhostess kills self

BANGALORE: An air hostess with Air India ended her life by setting herself ablaze at her room in Hunasamaranahalli in Yelahanka police limits on Thursday night.The deceased has been identified as Asha Mohammed Ali (20).According to the police, Asha, a native of Kerala, was staying with her colleague Sowmya. It is said she was in love with her colleague Anu, a native of Kerala.Reportedly, Asha’s parents opposed to their alliance as the couple belonged to different religions. Dejected by this, Asha set herself on fire in her room when her room mate Sowmya was away.Asha’s father works abroad while her mother stays at Kerala, the police said.A post mortem was conducted at Dr Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital’s mortuary on Friday.A case of unnatural death has been registered in Yelahanka police station and further investigations are going on in this connection.
