BANGALORE: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has convened an all-party meeting on April 12 to discuss various issues, including the Cauvery water issue and the prevailing drought in the state. Addressing newsmen here on Friday, the CM informed that a decision on the delegation will be finalised at the all-party meet.The meeting is expected to be a precursor to his leading a delegation to New Delhi, where he will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other Union ministers.The demand for imposition of additional import duty on silk and the power crisis in the state is also expected to be debated during the meet. Gowda added that a consensus will be arrived at on such issues. Meanwhile, the CM said that in view of the upcoming Global Investors’ Meet (GIM), he will undertake foreign tours to lure additional investment. “The GIM has generated more enthusiasm with its first edition being an overwhelming success, when MoUs worth 3.9 lakh crore signed,” he added.
