New Delhi: There is a fresh controversy brewing over the manner in which the CID is interrogating former Satyam chairperson Ramalinga Raju.
Network 18 has learnt that the CID interrogation of Raju and his top management is just an eyewash.
Sources familiar with the interrogation schedule say that in the last two days, CID officials questioned Raju for 16 hours, an indication that they are going easy on him.
The custody period ends in another two days and most of the 198 primary questions framed by the CID relate to details of his confession letter.
Also, Most questions are in yes or no answer format.
Raju's standard replies have been, "I don't know" or "I don't remember".
Here is a sample of the questions from the cid
*Why did you write the letter?
*Why did you write the letter on Januray 7? Why not before?
*Whom all did you consult before writing the letter?
*Why did you take the entire blame on yourself?
*Why did you name your brother?
*When was the first time when you inflated the figures in balance sheet?
*You have mentioned that you arranged Rs 1,230 crore for the company. How did you do that?
