AP: Notices to three Congress MLCs

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council chairmen A Chakrapani issued notices to three Congress MLCs - Pulla Padmavati, Konda Murali and SV Mohan Reddy- asking them to reply within a week to the disqualification petition submitted against them by the party.The Congress had sought disqualification of these MLCs for defying the party and aligning with YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.Based on the petition and 'evidence' submitted by the Congress, Chakrapani issued notices to the three MLCs seeking their explanation, sources said.The move comes at a time when the disqualification petitions against 16 Congress MLAs and one PRP MLA for voting against the government during the no-confidence motion in early December are coming up for hearing before Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar on Wednesday
