HYDERABAD: A special CBI court on Thursday issued a non-bailable warrant against Emaar MGF Land managing director Shravan Gupta in connection with the alleged irregularities in the APIIC-Emaar land deal case after he failed to appear before it despite directions.After taking cognisance of the supplementary chargesheet filed in the Emaar scandal in April, the court of principal special judge for CBI cases also issued a prisoner transit (PT) warrant against two other accused G V Vijaya Raghava, finance head of Emaar MGF (South) and N Sunil Reddy, an alleged aide of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, to enable Chanchalguda jail authorities to produce them before it on June 18.After the CBI sought an arrest warrant against Shravan Gupta, he filed an anticipatory bail plea in the court which was dismissed as there is prima facie evidence that the accused had committed serious offence. In its first chargesheet, the CBI named suspended IAS officer B P Acharya as the accused No 1. Gupta is said to be living in the UK. The special CBI court posted hearing in the bail plea of Emaar case accused Koneru Rajendra Prasad to Friday.
