Bangalore: A Bangalore family court will hear the case against Karthik Gowda, son of Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda on Tuesday. A case had been registered against Karthik in connection with alleged rape, kidnap and cheating of a Kannada actress.
The actress is seeking the status of his legally wedded wife.
The actress had claimed she and Karthik got married at Gowda's residence in Mangalore in June. Her claim came on the day Karthik got engaged to another woman at Kushalnagar in Kodagu district. Her allegations caused severe embarrassment to the Union Minister who has maintained law will take its own course.
In its last hearing the court had asked Gowda to file his objection by October 21.
Karthik is currently out on bail.
