Of the amount, Rs 2 crore would go to the families of the heroes - Police, National Security Guard, Naval Commandos and Firemen - who laid down their lives while fighting the terrorists in Mumbai.

The remaining Rs 1 crore would go to the police personnel, commandos and firemen who sustained injuries in the rescue operations, Srinivasan said in a statement.
