Bernard Tomic beats Richard Gasquet to reach fourth round
Tomic reached Wimbledon's fourth round by eliminating No. 9-seeded Richard Gasquet 7-6 (7), 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 (5).

London: Playing well even though his father, who's also his coach, was barred from the tournament because of an assault case, 59th-ranked Bernard Tomic reached Wimbledon's fourth round by eliminating No. 9-seeded Richard Gasquet 7-6 (7), 5-7, 7-5, 7-6 (5) Saturday.

Tomic, a 20-year-old Australian, hit 19 aces while getting 80 percent of his first serves in and saving 7 of 8 break points.

His father, John Tomic, was told to stay away from Wimbledon and other tournaments while his court case is pending in Madrid, Spain. He is accused of head-butting Tomic's hitting partner.

Tomic's best Grand Slam showing came at Wimbledon in 2011 as an 18-year-old qualifier, when he was the youngest player to get to the tournament's quarterfinals since Boris Becker in 1985.
