Athani (Karnataka): Border dispute with Maharashtra is a closed chapter as far as Karnataka is concerned, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said on Saturday.
”As far as Karnataka is concerned Mahajan Commission report is final and the State will stick to its demand for implementation of the report”, he added.
Talking to newsmen at the helipad on his arrival in Athani, Kumaraswamy said that an all party meeting will be held on July 31 in Bangalore and he would lead a delegation to New Delhi on August 2 to convey to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh about the State Government's stand.
Members of various Kannada Organisations and Action Committees would also participate in the meeting in which the members of the delegations would be decided.
Replying to a question about allegations made by former Minister D K Shivakumar alleging involvement of Mr Kumaraswamy and his family members in mining lobby, Kumaraswamy said that “let them provide evidence to prove their allegations before the Judicial inquiry appointed to inquire into alleged Rs 150 crore corruption charge.”
