BANGALORE: More than 500 people participated at the 4th level national-level conference and general body meeting of Canara Bank SC/ST Employees’ Welfare Association on Saturday.Executive Director of Canara Bank, Ashok Kumar Gupta inaugurated the conference and said, “In the entire banking industry, we are at the second position in the domestic business with a figure of `5.3 lakh crore and are aiming to secure the first place by crossing `6 lakh crore by next March. Canara Bank has all the schemes which other leading private sector banks.”Speaking at the event, Purushothama Das, president of the association said, “Other than any sector or institution, the banking sector are the ones from which the society has benefited the most. Banking sector can develop a entire village.”
