Chalai Merchants Club formed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The merchants of Chalai have joined together to form a charitable organisation, Chalai Merchants’ Club (CMC). The activities of the club were kicked off in a glittering function held at Chalai the other day.  ‘’CMC’s mission will be to provide social services, social medical services, education services, finance services, education scholarship services, medical relief services and relief for the poor,’’ said CMC chairman Bhagavathy Appan and president S P Ashok Kumar.  The logo and website of the Club were launched by Minister V S Sivakumar. Thiruvananthapuram valiya palli imam Hafis Abdul Gafar Maulavi, Chalai ward councillor Usha Satheesh, INTUC state secretary Chalai Nasser, BJP district president Karamana Jayan, CMC general secretary Ashraf and treasurer Ahammed Kabeer spoke.
