Chandrababu beats the drum, dances with tribes

On the third day of his padayatra, Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu looked more enthusiastic and enthused party activists and people following him by dancing with tribal people and even beating a drum for some time.

His third day padayatra began at Somandepalle where the population of weavers is predominant. He first interacted with the women and took their grievances and promised to solve their problems on coming to power. From there, he proceeded to Venkatapuram tanda where STs  accorded him a grand welcome and Naidu danced with them for some time bringing cheer to all those were present there. When Madiga activists presented a drum to him, he beat it for some time.

En route to Penukonda, Naidu offered prayers at the Behalul dargah.

In Penukonda town, he garlanded the statue of Srikrishna Devaraya and attended a meeting organised by members of the Uppara caste. He promised to strive for inclusion of Upparas in the list of STs.

Reiterating that social justice was possible only when all the castes had representation in the legislative bodies, the leader of the opposition claimed that the TDP, since its inception, had been striving to uplift all the backward classes, SCs and STs and women.

Continuing his tirade against the Congress government as usual, the TDP president alleged that leaders of the ruling Congress and YSR Congress looted the public wealth in the last nine years and ruined all sectors in the state. Expressing concern over the pathetic condition of the electricity sector, he said the government was not in a position to ensure power supply even in monsoon and one dreads to think of the situation in the ensuing summer.

In Penukonda town he offered prayers at Babaiah Darga and addressed a public meeting at the Ambedkar Circle. After covering 19 km on Thursday, he concluded his third day of padayatra at LB Nagar.
