HYDERABAD: Ahead of the commencement of the budget session of the Assembly on February 13, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will be leaving for Delhi on Saturday to seek permission for reconstitution of the cabinet as promised by the party high command. When Reddy was asked on January 19 to limit his expansion to induction of two PRP legislators, he was given to understand that he would be allowed to reshuffle his cabinet before the commencement of the budget session of the Assembly. But indications are that the party may not give him the green signal. He is expected to discuss the ongoing disqualification proceedings against the 16 Congress MLAs and the byelections for six Assembly seats from Telangana and one from Andhra for which a notification is yet to be issued by the Election Commission. The seats fell vacant after five MLAs from Telangana resigned and one died of heart attack. In Andhra TDP’s N Prasanna Kumar Reddy (Kovur) has been declared disqualified because he switched sides and joined the YS Jagan Mohan Redy camp. Interestingly, PCC President Botcha Satyanarayana returned to Hyderabad from Delhi after staying there for four days. He had said he was going to Delhi to call on the prime minister but stayed on meeting leaders of the party high command
