New Delhi: Congress's third list of Lok Sabha candidates is expected to be announced on Sunday. The party had come out with its second list of candidates for the general elections on March 13.
Of the 71 candidates named in the second list, the Congress has given tickets to 'tainted' leaders like former Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, Veerappa Moily and Subodh Kant Sahay.
While Bansal will contest from Chandigarh, the constituency which he currently represents in the Lok Sabha, Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily will be contesting from Chikkballapur in Karnataka.
The Congress in its second list had cleared 15 of the 20 Lok Sabha constituencies in Kerala. Union Minister Shashi Tharoor, whose wife committed suicide in January 2014, has been fielded from Thiruvananthapuram.
The Congress is laying more emphasis on its Vice President Rahul Gandhi's suggestions as almost 35 per cent youngsters were included in party's second list.
