KOCHI: The bystanders of the patients in the Co-operative Medical College (CMC), Kochi will not have to run helter-skelter seeking various services like that of banks. The authorities of CMC have decided to construct a commercial complex which will house bank, ATM , post office, department store and dormitory for the bystanders. The high level committee for the development of the CMC held the other day had given sanction to the project. There are also plans to construct a pay ward and staff quarters. According to the Medical Council of India norms, there should be staff quarters attached to the medical college, said Dr Mohan G Sam, director, CMC.“Lack of staff quarters is a major shortcoming of the medical college.
