Q. Was it a conscious decision to avoid any "star" power in the casting of this movie? Asked by: Siddharth
A. Yes! When I got the script I knew that it would be explosive and provocative... So it was important to get actors that would not be afraid to push the envelope or get worried about personal images etc.
Q. The promos were too good..hope the movie is also good...where did the idea of this story originate from? after a long hiatus? Asked by: Krishy259
A. The idea of this story originated on the 2nd of May, 2011 when Osama Bin Laden was killed in Abbotabad, Pakistan. My driver asked me if America can get into Pakistan and get him back, why can't we get out Most Wanted Man back?.
Q. Huma Quereshi and Shruthi Hassan are adversaries or friends in the characters depicted by them in the movie? Asked by: sundar1950in
A. Shruti and Huma do not have any shot together in the film. They are unknown to each other in the film. Huma plays a RAW agent while Shruti Haasan plays a commercial sex worker.

A. 'D-Day' is not a musical film. When you see the film you will realise that the songs only take the story forward. They do not stop the story from moving. I hope the songs catch on post the release of the film.
Q. After 'Kal Ho Na Ho', you seemed to loose your focus... how did this transition happen from love story to thriller? Asked by: kirti
A. I have wanted to direct a thriller before 'Kal Ho Na Ho' and after 'Kal Ho Na Ho'. Making a thriller was always on mind. When my new company was formed with my sister & my best friend, they supported my decision and made it happen. Directing a film like 'D-Day' was something I have wanted to do for a very long time.
