BANGALORE: Reaching Bangalore after their fortnight long padayatra from Bidar, members of the Akhila Karnataka Vishwakarma Mahasabha submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding that September 17, which is celebrated as Viswakarma Jayanthi, be declared as a government holiday.Around 5,000 members of Akhila Karnataka Vishwakarma Mahasabha had started the march from Bidar on August 22. Speaking to Express, KP Nanjundi, President, Akhila Karnataka Vishwakarma Mahasabha said, “We have also submitted other demands for the welfare of the Community in the memorandum. If the government fails to take fulfil our demands ,we will stage a protest” he added.
