New Delhi: The 23-year-old gangrape survivor's health has improved, but she still remains on ventilator support at the Safdarjung Hosptal in Delhi. Doctors say that they are trying to reduce ventilator support and that the 23-year old is doing much better as compared to Monday.

They say she was alert and able to communicate through hand gestures. Talking about the blood counts of the survivor on Tuesday, the doctors said, "Real improvement will be when body starts producing by itself...till now platelets are being pumped into the body of the girl."

Though the doctors pointed that the survivor was not out of danger, they added that she was better and still needed some support.

Meanwhile, in a move that has raised many eyebrows, the girl, in spite of her condition, had to give her statement to the police once again on Tuesday.

This came after Delhi Chief Minister accused the Delhi Police of interfering with the recording of the first statement.

What's your reaction?
