Department working on LPG issue: Minister

BELGAUM: After inaugurating the 220 KV sub-station in Kadaravalli village on Friday, Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje said officials of Food and Civil Supplies (FCS) department were taking all possible care to resolve the domestic LPG and ration card issue.“About 30 lakh out of 76 lakh connections were fake in the state and action has been initiated to provide justice to the people,” she said.When asked whether it was fair to harass the poor in the name of fake connections, she replied, “Who is poor in the state?” Soon, she repeated readily-prepared lines that the FCS personnel had been helping out people in this regard, while turning a deaf ear to the complaints of villagers at the venue.
