Budapest: Paul Di Resta recorded his best performance of the season with a seventh place finish but Adrian Sutil ended outside the points bracket as Force India garnered six points from the rain-hit Hungarian Grand Prix here on Sunday.
Di Resta, who started 11th on the grid, sneaked into the top-10 in the opening lap itself and dished out a strong performance in treacherous weather conditions.
The track was slippery due to intermittent drizzle but the Scottish driver kept his car under good control throughout to end his point-less streak of eight races.
The last time he earned points was at Malaysian Grand Prix in April with a 10th place finish.
Misfortune though hit Sutil in the opening lap itself as he conceded two positions immediately and then found himself struggling in the back-grid traffic.
After dropping to 20th, Sutil showed a lot of heart and fought his way to the 14th position.
McLaren's Jenson Button won the race after starting from number three on the grid and was followed by Red Bull's defending champion Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.
Button's teammate Lewis Hamilton ended fourth after losing lead following a drive through penalty.
There were four retirements in the race including that of former champion Michael Schumacher of Mercedes.
