E-mail threat to K'taka CM tracked to cybercafe
Police have taken the owner of the cafe into custody.

Bangalore: The e-mail received by Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his colleagues threatening to kill them had been traced to a cyber cafe located in the heart of the city, police said on Tuesday.

However, the owner of the cafe in Malleshwaram could not provide any immediate clue because he had failed to maintain a register of those who used the cybercafe services. Police have taken the owner of the cafe into custody, Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari told reporters in Bangalore.

Police were investigating the matter and were trying to nail the culprits, he said Yeddyurappa and his cabinet colleagues had received the email on August 29.

The email had a picture of Vidhana Soudha with an image of an AK-47 rifle embossed on it. Below it ran a single line which said "we are going to kill the ministers in Karnataka, Bangalore". The email ended with Jihad Pakistan. It had been sent from an ID 'Naveed'.
