Facelift for rare art forms

The district administration will take steps to revive the forgotten and rare art forms. A discussion in this regard would be held on August 7 at the Collector’s camp office here.

Various dance-drama forms, ‘katha prasangam’ and drama would be on the list of the art forms that will get a facelift.

“There is a need to revive such art forms because the district had once been an active cultural hub. The project is expected to kick start on November 1,” Collector P I Sheikh Pareeth said.

Once the project is launched, at least one such art form would be showcased every month.
