Multiplexes seem to have reached a compromise with Yashraj Films over the release of the movie Fanaa.

New Delhi: Multiplexes seem to be reaching a compromise over the screening of the Aamir starrer Fanaa.

Adlabs and Wave cinemas have started advance bookings for Fanaa after reaching a compromise with producer Yashraj Films.

Wave cinemas says it's a stand-alone entity and does not want to get into the tussle between Yashraj and the multiplex association.

The PVR chain of multiplexes has also decided it will screen the movie this Friday, since they reached a profit sharing agreement.

Other multiplex owners are still negotiating with Yashraj films. Earlier, Yashraj had asked for a higher cut from the ticket sales.

Earlier today, Aamir Khan's decision to stick to his support to NBA on Sardar Sarovar dam issue triggered an angry reaction as several youths burnt the posters of his forthcoming film Fanaa.

A demonstration took place under the banner of little-known group Sardar Sena, who gathered below the statute of Sardar Vallabhai Patel in the Sayajigunj locality and burnt posters of the actor.

One of the agitators said, "The youth and people of Gujarat will not allow the screening of Aamir Khan's movie till he apologies for his remarks on the ambitious and multi-purpose Sardar Sarovar Project on river Narmada."

"Without understanding the sentiments of the people of Gujarat on the issue, Aamir has made anti-dam statements," he added.

The protestors said Aamir should not make the whole issue a matter of prestige, and should promptly apologise to the people of the state.
