Mumbai: Leading man Amitabh Bachchan has worn many a cap in his 30 years as a movie star, he's played cops, gangsters and plain-old ordinary workers.
His latest film however, will be the first time he's taken on the character that's long been a standard in films around the world-a lawyer.
Bachchan plays a blind lawyer who helps a rich boy-poor girl come together, in the soon to be released movie, Zamaanat. Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi also stars in the movie.
"It is something different for me because I have never played a lawyer in my entire career," said Bachchan, who was acted in more than 150 films.
The 63-year-old actor underwent surgery for an intestinal ailment in November and returned to work in March.
He said that his movie projects were initially delayed but work was on track now.
