CHENNAI: The Sahayata Trust is all set to organise ‘Sivasakthi’, a unique orientation programme to pave way for a happy marriage, on November 13 at The Conference Centre, RA Puram between 9am and 12.30pm. The programme will be inaugurated by Kalayanamalai V Mohan, Founder-Chariman of Kalyanamalai at KM Matrimony Pvt Ltd. Sahayata provides financial assistance for education, trains people from all age groups in life skills and self-development, and helps and assists other NGOs. Sivasakthi is a three-hour orientation programme that enables you to appreciate, accept and align to one’s life-partner to experience a complete marriage. This is designed for those to-be-weds and married couples who seek an exemplary marriage. Fundamentally, like one learns academics and other skills, it will be of immense help if one learns how to live a happy married life, from the experience of role-model couples. To create better marriages is a greater option than attempting at a repair later on. Once one has the tools in hand, he/she goes on in life looking at larger goals and ambitions, both individually and as a family. The Sivasakthi programme, will include in-depth discussions on how to build a perfect marriage, to respect each other’s passions, thoughts and feelings, and finally to balance personal goals and family responsibilities. The programme was conceived and will be conducted by Usha Ramakrishnan,, a life-skill trainer, visiting faculty of MOP Vaishnav College for women, who also has a multinational banking experience. She has been working for social causes since 2002. She also conducts life skill workshops for school children, college students and women. The objective of these workshops has been to live a wholistic life, in order to create better human-beings and thereby, a better society. She has authored several self-help books and writes regularly in magazines. Her purpose in life is to make a difference to people. The registration fee for this programme is `200.
