Mumbai: Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto talks to CNN-IBN about her struggle in Bollywood before the Oscar-winning movie. Freida does not call her arrival on world cinema stage "sudden" and claims she had her share of struggle before bagging the Oscar-winning movie with Dev Patel.
"You don't talk about it because you are very happy in the moment that you are and it is a very elating moment and so that's all you going to talk about," she says.
A firm believer of being at the right place at the right time, she does not intend to undermine the tough time she underwent looking for a right project. "I was looking for a project that would be just very happy calling my first film. And unfortunately, there wasn't the right guidance at that point of time, and there wasn't the right project," she reveals.
Freida stars in Woody Allen’s latest venture 'You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger'.
With several failed attempts at finding a launch pad in mainstream Hindi cinema, Freida was launched by Danny Boyle in multi Oscar-winner Slumdog Millionare.
She continues her stint in Hollywood and claims that there is no bitterness for Bollywood.
"I don't have any kind of bitterness as such because everything that happens happens for a reason. So if I ever tried for an Indian film that didn't work out, it was all for the best," she adds.
