A mobile restaurant, Pink Pepper, has introduced the innovative idea in Jaipur for all visitors taking a cue from similar concepts in the US and other western countries.
You can now roam around relishing the opportunity of sampling the ancient architecture and ethos sitting atop a bus. But all the while relishing its rich and spicy cuisine allowed there for the guests.
"The most exciting part of the trip is that I am having dinner on the top of a bus for the first time. I think it's a very innovative idea and every one should try it. It's good," said a resident of Delhi, Puru.
"I liked it very much. The food is also very nice. This is a new concept here in the city and is well executed," said another resident, Madhuri.
With a seating capacity of 36, Pink Pepper takes guests through the main landmarks of Jaipur, also known as Pink City due to a predominance of the pink colour in the city's architectural landscape.
Essentially, the concept was introduced to draw maximum domestic and foreign tourists. But today the concept is a major hit among everyone that includes the local residents.
Introduced by an industrial group, the restaurant was actually conceived as a break from routine.
"People here have got tired of regular restaurants and regular partying and want something different. We are giving them Pink Pepper, which is something different," said Director of the Siyaram Industrial group that has bought the restaurant, Sneha Katta.
