Ghantasala statue in Kakinada soon

KAKINADA: MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy has said the statue of legendary singer Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao will be installed at Tripura Sundari temple junction soon. Participating in a meeting organised by the Alluri Seetarama Raju Smaraka Kala Vedika at Cosmopolitan Club on Sunday, he said the government gave permission for installation of the statue at the Oil Merchants Association building. The Municipal Corporation of Kakinada has also given its approval for installation of the statue of legendary singer. He lauded the initiative of Kala Vedika to install the statue.  Kala Vedika president Satti Krishna Reddy and secretary P Dayananda Babu thanked the collector, municipal commissioner and MLA for extending their support. Oil Merchants Association president Grandhi Babji, market committee chairman N Radha and others were present.
