But skill and experience counts a lot.Beauty care experts are expected to have a confident and pleasant personality along with good communication skills. Some of the leading institutes that offer courses in beauty care include Regional Vocational Training Institutes in Allahabad, Bangalore, Hisar, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Vadodara and Thiruvanathapuram, Vandana Luthra’s Curls and Curves, New Delhi, Blossom Kochhar’s Pivot Point, Chennai, Habib’s Hair Academy, New Delhi, Eves Beauty Parlour and Academy, New Delhi, and Shahnaz Husain International Beauty Academy, New Delhi. Beautician trainees will earn anything from Rs 5,000 and depending on the location and reputation of the institution you are working the sum goes up. “After gaining experience you can move on to big cities or even abroad where beauticians are more in demand. Unlike earlier times there are openings for beauty experts in star hotels, health clubs, television studios, grooming schools and modelling agencies. And you can opt for specialised services like bridal make-up that are highly paid. You can always start a parlour on your own too,” Ajitha said.
