HYDERABAD: After AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad made an appeal to the employees of Telangana to call off their strike in view of the difficulties faced by the people, the employees associations, who are guarded in their reaction, are preparing to have a wide range of talks on Monday with the government to end the impasse.Though Azad's appeal did not satisfy the employees as he did not mention when the Congress would announce its decision on Telangana, they said they are prepared for talks.“We will surely have talks if the chief minister so desires. After all, we are all part of the government,” was the reaction of Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee chairman V Swamy Goud. But his reaction was laced with sarcasm since Azad did not commit himself that a favourable decision on Telangana would be delivered.“I am happy to learn that Azad understood the problems the people of Telangana are facing because of the strike. But I would be more happy if he understands that they have been facing difficulties much severe than the present ones by living in the united Andhra Pradesh,” he said.At a time when the employees unions were expecting an announcement on roadmap for formation of Telangana to call off their strike, Azad's non-committal appeal threw a wet blanket on them. They had been hoping that the Centre would show them a decent and respectable exit from Sakala Janula Samme, but the appeal was devoid of any mention of Telangana anywhere.
