HC directive on TDB postings

KOCHI: The High Court on Wednesday asked the Devaswom Ombudsman to consider the pleas of Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) regarding the appointment of teachers in the aided colleges under the board.A Division Bench comprising Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice C T Ravikumar passed the order while considering the petitions filed by the TDB Secretary P R Anitha seeking permission to appoint lecturers in its colleges. The TDB sought permission to appoint lecturers in  micro-biology, biochemistry, chemistry and commerce. The TDB submitted that the candidates were chosen after conducting exams and interview as per the statutory norms. The selection was made strictly based on merit, the TDB submitted.
