Hearing on Jagan, Emaar Thursday

HYDERABAD: The Special CBI court on Tuesday posted for further hearing on the matter of providing copies of documents recovered by CBI to the Income Tax department for November 10, in connection with the Emaar scam and alleged illegal assets of Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The Magistrate B Naga Maruthi Sharma posted the matter for further hearing after cousels for Jagan and Emaar Group filed their counterpetitions on Tuesday.
Income Tax offcials had approached the special CBI court seeking copies of documents seized by CBI during the probe of corruption allegations against Jagan Reddy and alleged irregularities in the Emaar land deal. The department filed two applications before the special CBI court a few days back, seeking directions to the investigating agency to provide information on the seized material, so they could go ahead with pending assessment of Jagan's companies and the Emaar Hill Township Pvt Ltd.Earlier, a similar application had been filed by Bengaluru IT officials, seeking information found by CBI in raids.
