BANGALORE: The High Court on Friday rejected the affidavit submitted by the state government regarding the action taken relating to the nonissue of summons to Tourism Minister G Janardhan Reddy and B Sriramulu in connection with several cases
It has directed the Home Secretary to conduct a fresh inquiry and file a fresh affidavit within six weeks.The division bench headed by Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice H G Ramesh rebuked at the state government over the inaction, saying, "You have made the judiciary a laughing strock. Everyone, including DG and IGP, is responsible for this; DG sat there all the time, but you have not implemented the summons for 35 times."

Pointing out the affidavit submitted by the state police that CI PSI and PS have been suspended as action initiated as per the court directions, the bench said, "you have caught few simple people."
