New Delhi: HTC has announced the launch of the HTC Desire 600 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 26,860, it is a dual SIM phone Android Jelly Bean phone. The phone features a 4.5 inch qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM.

The phone has an 8 megapixel rear camera, which is capable of recording 720p HD videos, and a 1.6 megapixel front camera. The phone has dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers.

The phone includes HTC's new Blinkfeed that replaces icons on the home screen with a personalised stream of news articles, social networking updates, photos and video. HTC's BlinkFeed interface consists of large tiles. It transforms the home screen into a customisable stream of live information.

The phone is packed with a 1860 mAh battery. It has an internal storage of 8GB, and its memory is expandable up to 64GB.

According to HTC, it is the first mid-range handset to offer HTC's latest Sense 5 experience. Its connectivity options include 2G/3G, Wi-Fi, USB, and Bluetooth.
