HYDERABAD: A professor of University of Hyderabad has been elected as Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy -INSA (New Delhi) and the National Academy of Sciences - NASI (Allahabad). Prof V Suresh from the Department of Mathematics, is also a fellow of the Indian Academy of Science-IAS (Bengaluru).The fellowship adds laurels to the professor who was conferred the ‘Jagadish Chandra Bose National Fellowship’, last year, announced by the ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. He is also a recepient of the S S Bhatnagar prize in 2009.While the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) promotes science in India with an aim to harness scientific knowledge for national welfare, the National Academy of Sciences (NASI), India was founded to provide a national forum for the publication of research work of Indian scientists.Prof. Suresh is currently on a visit to Emory University, Atlanta, USA, for research assignments till May 2013.
