Washington: Scarlett Johansson employed an interesting tactic to avoid questions regarding her relationship with current beau Ryan Reynolds – she engaged herself to US Presidential candidate Barack Obama.
When asked about whether or not she was engaged to Reynolds, the 23-year-old deflected the question and in jest said that her heart belongs to Obama.
"I am engaged ... to Barack Obama. My heart belongs to Barack, and that is who I am currently, finally, engaged to. Yes," People quoted her, as saying.
The actress stepped out to support Obama at the Iowa caucus.
As for the attention she received overseas, Johansson said, "Everybody that I met there was so incredibly friendly and polite and genuine and generous. Hey were so, so sweet. I mean, I was just amazed."
