Dubai: An Indian woman fell to her death from the 18th floor of a high-rise in Abu Dhabi. The woman died after falling off the 18th floor of Liwa Tower in Al Falah Street on Tuesday afternoon. "I was walking nearby when I heard a big thud. It was really a loud sound, and when I turned around I saw a woman lying on the roof of a car in a pool of blood," said an eyewitness.
He said that the roof of the car was badly damaged due to the impact of the woman's fall, the Khaleej Times reported. The police, who reached the site soon after the incident happened, dispersed the big crowd and cordoned off the entire area.
A strong team of traffic police, investigating officers, ambulances and civil defence personnel were present until the body was removed and the area cleared after an on-the-spot investigation. The Abu Dhabi Police have collected all the evidence from the accident site and have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the woman's fall.
When asked to comment, the police said a report will be released soon after the investigation is completed.
