Informer murder case: 39-year-old man surrenders in court

They killed him for giving tip-off about their illegal activities like robbery and house breaks-in.Following a complaint from Viswanathan’s wife stating that her husband had gone missing since August 30, Uthangarai police registered a man missing case and conducted an inquiry. The police developed a suspicion over Alamelu after they found that Viswanathan spoke to her over phone before he went missing.The murder of Viswanathan came to light after Alamelu surrendered before the Hosur Judicial court recently, police officials here said.first published:September 18, 2012, 09:57 ISTlast updated:September 18, 2012, 09:57 IST
