Lucknow: With a view to catering to needs of tourists visiting Taj city Agra, an international airport would soon come up between Agra and Mathura. The airport, to be built on PPP model, is likely to be completed by 2017, a tourism department spokesman said on Friday.
The district magistrates of Agra and Mathura have already identified four spots for setting up the airport, he said adding that an authorised committee and advisory committee for developing and managing the proposed airport have already been set up.
Maximum number of tourists coming to the country visit Taj Mahal and as there is no international airport in Agra they face problems.
