New Delhi: The year's final grand slam, the US Open gets underway is in New York on Monday and the big question is: if Roger Federer can stop Rafael Nadal from making a great year; even better.
For a couple of years now; Roger Federer versus Rafael Nadal has been much like a boxing contest. Nadal has knocked Federer out the last few times so its not a surprise that another final between them is being built up as the "grapple in the apple" by none other than boxing's ultimate showman, Don King.
Going on current form, the favourite would certainly be the young Spaniard. He has already won two grand slams and the Olympics single's Gold. The hardcourts of New York have never before favored Nadal, but he is hoping to change that.
Federer has won the US Open every year since 2004 and wouldn't want to end the year without a single grand slam, but he concedes that Nadal will make it difficult.
