BANGALORE: The arrest of Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy in Hyderabad on Sunday evening, caused a stir among passengers as a few private bus operators in the city cancelled bus services to Hyderabad.SKS Tours and Travels which operates three buses to Hyderabad every day cancelled night service to Andhra Pradesh, though the buses departed from the city before the arrest.“One bus departed from Bangalore at 5.30 pm.However, we have decided to cancel the night bus which is scheduled to depart at 10 pm,” said a representative from the travel agency.An agent from Universal Travel agency said, “We have buses to Hyderabad at 10 pm every day.Currently we are running as per the schedule, but further decision will be taken based on the intensity of the situation.” Meanwhile, redbus.in was booking tickets till Reddy was arrested, but there was no update from their customer service helpline about cancellation of bus service to Hyderabad.However, KSRTC services were not affected. “We do not have night service on Kadapa route.Hence, bus service to Hyderabad is as per schedule.We will evaluate the situation in the morning before starting the day time services,” said a KSRTC official.Passengers going to Hyderabad on Sunday night, however, were apprehensive about travelling.“The bus will pass via Anantpur and other areas.We are contemplating on cancelling our tickets,” said Tejas, a native of Hyderabad. APSRTC had cancelled its services towards Kadapa as a preventive measure before Reddy’s arrest.
